Update June 14, 2007 Welcome. The summer festival season is taking off over in Germany, and the Reiter have a full slate of festival appearances scheduled throughout central Europe. This isn't an endorsement or anything, but a friend of mine went with me to the Wacken Open Air back in 2002. There is nothing in North America quite like the whole festival atmosphere over in Germany, I can assure you. Tents pitched as far as the eye can see, people partying non-stop, and plenty of awesome bands to see. If you ever have the chance to go to Wacken or any of the major metal festivals in Europe, I can assure you the expense is well worth it. Aside from the scheduled dates, not too much else is new with the band. All of their efforts for the next months will be aimed at performing the aforementioned concerts. A live DVD is planned for release in Europe at the end of 2007. Not much info is available on this, but I don't know if I would hold out any hope for a North American release. But don't despair, because it will still be possible to get a copy and watch it on any computer's DVD player, so long as you have the right codecs and all that stuff. I'm no technical genius or anything, but if I can get German DVDs to play on my computer, you probably can, too. As far as the site goes here on 4REITER.com, not much is new except for the updated concert information. I have been pretty lazy in regards to finishing up things like album information and doing up any song translations. I also haven't been keeping good track of the message board, and it has fallen into a downward spiral of spam messages and nonsense. So I plan to clean that up and have it functional again.
